Karen Schulze plays with the creative expression, calls into question what remains of the figurative background: the human scale, the figure-background relationship, and explores circular formats, reminiscent of the universal symbol of the infinite and the totality of movement. The artist thus crosses the new frontiers of art, in an astonishing display of creativity.

Karen Schulze handles languages related to Kundalini, cosmic energy and Samsara, all embedded in a metaphor of the Tsunami of Japan. This can be seen in the elements of this valuable artistic proposal, where she has united her talents and expressiveness in various techniques, to form a whole of undisputed aesthetic and conceptual impact.

Looking at the work of Karen Schulze is a delight for the spirit. It is also a challenge to the intelligence, a call to reflection. Does she perceive her work platform as a sacred space to find serenity for the soul? For the mind? Because it is there where thoughts germinate and ideas arise. A place that amplifies the inner sound? That promotes that instant that precedes the magic ritual of creation? A premonitory moment of the frenetic ritual that implies the whole process, which mediates between the intention and the result.

The artist has successfully walked the art path with her rigorous academic preparation, and personal research in the use of techniques and materials. This has distinguish her as creator of new spaces in the national plastic arts, which is supported by recognitions in national and international Salons.
